Arizona Office of Tourism Sponsorship Application
Thank you for your interest in working with the Arizona Office of Tourism (AOT). AOT has limited resources to support events and activities that meet the state’s criteria for destination promotion and provide economic benefits to the residents we serve.
Sponsorships with AOT are regulated to other state/federal agencies, tribal entities, municipalities and officially designated marketing organizations (DMOs). Sponsorships need to directly support the marketing efforts of the opportunity. The sponsorships return on investment (ROI) must be equal to or greater than the requested amount. Sponsorships will not support charitable events.
Minimum requirements to be considered eligible for a sponsorship:
- Only non-profit, 501(c)3 organizations, designated Destination Marketing Organizations (DMOs), or municipal/Tribal entities qualify.
- The event or promotion must have a direct partnership with other aligned local community organizations.
- The event must be able to demonstrate a direct return on the state’s investment to ensure it is driving tourism and related economic opportunities to the local community.
- Applications must be sent in at least four months before the event.
Due to budget limitations, AOT does not guarantee support for events that meet the criteria, and will only consider those meeting the eligibility requirements.
