Route 66 Centennial

At nearly 100 years old, Route 66—the Main Street of America—evokes memories of roadside attractions, rock on the radio and road trips with the family where the journey was as much fun as the destination. In Arizona, more than 385 miles of the route exist within the state, including an impressive 158 unbroken miles across Western Arizona, from Topock to Crookton Road near Ash Fork.

Communities along Arizona’s Route 66 include Topock, Oatman, Kingman, Hackberry, Valentine, Truxton, Peach Springs, Seligman, Ash Fork, Williams, Flagstaff, Winona, Winslow, Joseph City, Holbrook and Lupton. AOT has developed and implemented marketing plans to collaborate with other states and communities working to promote Route 66’s Centennial Year.
